Hello

The year 1976 stands out in my memory! Known for the most severe drought in the UK on record, it also marked the beginning of my love for travel. I was ten years old and lucky enough to be going abroad for the first time. Oblivious to the adventures that awaited, I was just thrilled to be boarding a plane. But the moment I disembarked and was enveloped by the humid Mediterranean heat, with the scent of jasmine wafting through the air and the chorus of crickets surrounding me, I was utterly hooked. 

Experiencing diverse cultures, listening to various languages, navigating through different currencies, everything was an exhilarating adventure. I remember going to an outdoor cinema in Greece, which was simply a projector casting images on a sheet with some plastic chairs for seating. My dad mistakenly ordered a bottle of Ouzo, thinking it was wine, and the local elderly women being fascinated by the colour of my hair.

We went away almost every year after that and I haven’t stopped travelling since. My adventures range from touring the USA right after finishing school, to spending a few years working as a ski chalet girl and most recently, sailing around the Greek Islands on our boat, with countless holidays enjoyed along the way.

So, having traveled extensively and organised many trips for both my family and numerous company directors during my time at Merlin, I've gained skills that are invaluable for planning and executing travel itineraries.
